The Purple Sharks defeated Jinja Municipal Council (JMC Hippos) 2-0 at the Kyabaziga Stadium in Bugembe on Thursday evening.

Norman Ojik put the home team in the driving seat by scoring his second goal for Wakiso Giants  in second appearance but it was his first as a starter in the 11th minute to give the big crowd early jubilations.

Karim Ndugwa who was making his debut for the newly formed club doubled their lead in the 63rd minute.

The win takes Wakiso Giants to 26 from 12 outings, maintaining their first position in the 2018/2019 StarTimes Big League Elgon group.
