Premier League-Live Game : Manchester United vs Stoke City 15 January 2018 Kick off:20:00 GMT

The Reds return to Premier League action on Monday night by welcoming a struggling Stoke City side, who parted company with former united striker Mark Hughes as their manager last week, to the Theater of Dreams.

United have made a positive start to 2018 after successive 2-0 wins over Everton in the league and Derby County in the Emirates FA Cup.

Although Jose Mourinho’s men are yet to get the better of the Potters since the manager’s arrival in the summer of 2016, the Reds will be confident of making it a hat-trick of wins in 2018 and will undoubtedly be raring to go following a week of warm-weather training in Dubai after a 10-day break since booking an FA Cup fourth-round tie against League Two side Yeovil Town.

Stoke City’s Erik Pieters (thigh) and Bruno Martins Indi (groin) are back in training, though caretaker assistant first-team coach Kevin Russell does not know if the defenders will be fit for Monday.

Captain Ryan Shawcross (calf) is close to a return but is unlikely to be available.

Ashley Young is still suspended as part of the three-match ban that he received for an incident against Southampton on 30 December.

In his absence, against Everton and Derby County, Victor Lindelof has started and the Sweden international produced two eye-catching performances.
