Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal targets FA Cup fifth round when they visit AFC Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium
After their morale-boosting draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last time out, Arsenal will travel to Vitality Stadium to take on Arsenal in Monday night’s FA Cup fourth-round tie aiming for a win.
The Gunners twice came from behind to earn a point against Chelsea, despite playing most of the game with ten men.
They are therefore optimistic to better the one-all draw they managed at the Vitality in Mikel Arteta’s first game in charge in December.
The Eddie Howe coached side have only made it past the fourth round of this competition once since 1989, whereas Arsenal are the most successful team in FA Cup history with 13 titles to their name.
David Luiz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are out of this encounter due to suspension while Reiss Nelson, Sead Kolasinac, Kieran Tierney and Calum Chambers are injured.
For Bournemouth, Joshua King, Jack Stacey, Arnaut Danjuma, Charlie Daniels, David Brooks and Chris Mepham remain sidelined with injuries.
Bournemouth: Travers; Smith, Francis, Ake, Rico; Wilson, L Cook, Surman, Gosling, Fraser; Wilson
Arsenal: Martinez; Maitland-Niles, Sokratis, Holding, Saka; Torreira, Guendouzi; Pepe, Ceballos, Martinelli; Lacazette
