Marseille Vs Atlético Madrid Live Stream:UEFA Europa League final.

The 2018 UEFA Europa League final in Lyon brings together the inaugural winners of UEFA’s two current major club competitions.

Atlético Madrid won the very first UEFA Europa League in 2010, while Marseille were the first team to be proclaimed UEFA Champions League winners, back in 1993.

Two clubs of considerable continental pedigree, they have reached the final via different routes.

Marseille‘s 2017/18 European campaign began in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League, while Atlético started theirs in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

Marseille booked a place just up the Rhone Valley at the Stade de Lyon by defeating Austrian club Salzburg 3-2 on aggregate in a closely contested semi-final thanks to an extra-time away goal from substitute Rolando (2-0 home, 1-2 away).

Atlético edged past Arsenal 2-1 over the two legs in their semi-final, Diego Costa sealing a 1-0 win in Madrid following a 1-1 draw in north London.

This is Atlético‘s second UEFA final in Lyon, and they will be hoping for a more positive outcome.

Marseille have had a fine campaign across competitions but they’ve lost on their consistency at a crucial time, coming into their Europa League Final clash with just one win earned in their last four outings which could be worrying ahead of the trip to Groupama Stadium –as they meet in-form Atletico Madrid who come into the match on the back of a 0-1 win over Getafe, which was their third win in four games after beating Alaves (0-1) and Arsenal (1-0) and suffering only a loss to Espanyol (0-2) along the way.

They’ve been rock-solid defensively and we do feel Diego Simeone‘s men will be a very tough nut to crack in France too.

Antoine Griezmann has been leading the line with seven goals in last 13 appearances and this makes him a focal point at the striking line.

Les Phoceens have kept just one clean sheet in their last eight games and we’ve seen a six-goal thriller in their last clash (3-3 against Guingamp in Ligue 1), which does promise an exciting challenge on the day as well and a great game at Decines-Charpieu.
