KCCA edges Onduparaka to maintain top position
Kaddu scored from 12 yards after Onduparaka’s defender Richard Ayiko fouled KCCA’s Allan Kyambadde in the box.
Center referee Mashood Ssali had no any other option other than awarding the Kasasiro Boys with a penalty. Patrick Kaddu stepped and fired a powerful shot to the left side of the goal to give Onduparaka’s custodian Nicholas Sebwato no chance of saving it.
Onduparaka FC got several chances but were not lucky on the day as Faizul Ibrahim shots kissed woodwork on two different occasions.
“It has been a very physical game, we have struggled a lot but the good thing is that we have managed to get maximum points,” said KCCA’s assistant coach Morley Byekwaso in the post-match press conference.
Meanwhile, The Caterpillars’ head coach Leo Adraa praised side for losing with only one goal.
“Losing with only 1-0 is an achievement to us. The first time we visited here, we lost by 7-1, the second time we lost by 4-1. So losing with just 1-0 is not an issue to us,” said the aged tactician.
KCCA remained on top of the log with 40 points while Onduparaka remained fifth with 25 points from 17 outings.
