Guadiola’s 24 Trophies in Ten Years of Coaching

Not even the biggest optimist could have imagined that 10 years into his career as a coach Pep Guardiola would have already racked up 24 trophies, even less so when he lost his first game at Barcelona against Numancia and drew the second with Racing.

Saturday’s success in the Community Shield against Chelsea adds another to his bulging trophy cabinet as he continues to earn his place among football’s all-time great coaches.

Guardiola, in four seasons at Barcelona won 14 titles: three La Liga crowns, two cups, three Spanish Super Cups, two Champions Leagues, two European Super Cups and two Club World Cups.

In three years at Bayern Munich he added another seven with three Bundesliga titles, two cups, one European Super Cup and one Club World Cup.

In Manchester, with just two full seasons under his belt at City, he has three already as he has now added the Community Shield to his Premier League and League Cup wins.

Now, all eyes turn to the Champions League, which he has not won since 2011 and Manchester City’s only European triumph came in the 1969/70 European Cup Winners’ Cup.
