EFL Cup: Arsenal 1-0 West Ham-Full Match 19 December 2017

Danny Welbeck scored the first-half winner against West Ham as Arsenal reached the last four of the Carabao Cup.

Arsene Wenger made 11 changes from the side which beat Newcastle on Saturday but it was enough to see off David Moyes’ side.

Welbeck gave a hint to Gareth Southgate with his fifth goal of the season, the  first for three months as he scored past Joe Hart after 43 minutes after Mathieu Debuchy headed Francis Coquellin’s cross into the box.

West Ham’s first genuine attempt on goal saw Aaron Cresswell send a free-kick wide of David Ospina’s post with 26 minutes remaining prompting Moyes to react to such a lean attacking statistics by introducing both Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho.
