Chinese Grand Prix could be canceled out due to coronavirus outbreak
The 2020 Chinese Grand Prix may be postponed or canceled as a result of the coronavirus emergency.
The F1 bosses discussed about the matter but no decision on whether the event will be staged in Shanghai on April 19 has yet been taken.
According to sources, a final decision may be taken based on advice from local authorities and the race promoters.
However, the Shanghai Sports General Association instructed sports bodies to suspend events until the threat from the virus is over.
Some of the F1 senior team insiders were also questioning whether the inaugural Vietnamese Grand Prix could be at risk.
That race is scheduled to be held on 5 April in the Vietnamese capital Hanoi, about 100 miles from the Chinese border.
